A COZY LIVING ROOM IN THE HEART OF THE PARIOLI DISTRICT IN ROME

The Parioli district, a quiet and residential area set up and developed between the end of the 19th century and the 30s, has a history that dates back to the Middle Ages, to the period when it was called Pelaiolo. After World War II, the district reached the peak of notoriety; as a matter of fact, it hosted people from the cinema, theater, industry, high finance and diplomacy. In the sixties, taking an aperitif at the local bar had become a must. The houses of this district always feature reserved yet extensive green spaces, with beautiful gardens, and now this neighborhood, a stone's throw from the centre, is one of the greenest one in Rome.

The Promontorio family has an ancient history, in fact its origins date back around the year 1000. For a long time, until about 1500, the family remained in Genoa, then moved to Naples where it remained until the beginning of the 1900s, to then definitively settle in Rome. Moving from the north to the south, even the culinary traditions have been enriched and fused with new flavors and recipes of the Mediterranean cuisine.

The centenary history behind the Promontorio family is definitely an opportunity you will have to listen to, including unpublished stories and anecdotes.
